Okeechobee, Florida

THE PROPERTY
The Villa Margaret MH/RV Park is situated on over 22 acres just north of the city of Okeechobee.
Lake Okeechobee, which is the second largest freshwater lake in the United States, is only six miles to our south. If you're looking for the beach, the Atlantic Ocean is just 45 minutes to the east.
The Villa Margaret is accessed by Highway 441, and Hwy 70 is just four miles away. Either of these roads have direct access to the Florida Turnpike and Interstate 95. So getting to the property from any northern location is a breeze.
The east property boundary is scenic Taylor Creek, which is direct feeder into Lake Okeechobee. In the water you will find catfish, crappie, bluegill and the famous speckled perch. Taylor creek is a protected waterway which offers a haven for luscious Florida wildlife. Fishing from the bank is most certainly allowed and recommended, and no license is needed for bank fishing.
You will see many species of Florida birds, including our resident Sandhill Crane couple, as well as turtles, turkeys and more than likely an alligator or two. No worries though, the alligators stay to themselves, mostly catching the afternoon sun on the opposing bank side, they are fascinating to watch.
You will notice very large Live Oak trees as you enter and travel through the campground. These are a classic part of the south and the hanging Spanish moss adds a stately charm.
Pets are certainly welcome at the Villa Margaret, we have multiple areas that are ideal for walking your leashed dog, and a large field where supervised non-leashed play is allowed. Of course we ask that you pick-up after your animal.
